Idaho State Teacher Certification required, bilingual and bicultural in both English and Spanish preferred. Catechist certification required, or the ability to complete Catechist certification. Candidates must be actively involved in their Catholic faith/parish life.

Campus Minister

   St. Paul's Catholic Student Center, Boise State University, Boise

 

 

 

Campus Minister - The Campus Minister at St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center at Boise State University supports the mission of the Diocese of Boise by assisting the Bishop in carrying out his role as the chief catechist of the diocese. The Campus Minister oversees and manages all functions of the Catholic Student Center and provides leadership, vision, and direction to all social, spiritual, and catechetical ministries, programs, and services.  Furthermore, this individual promotes the skills of planning and programming and works in collaboration with other campus ministry and Diocesan Pastoral Center staff to promote an integrated and holistic approach to campus ministry that recognizes the cultural, developmental, and spiritual diversity among Catholic students.


Education & Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Education, or related educational or ministry field or equivalent experience in college or young adult ministry; Masters in Pastoral Ministry, theology, or Divinity preferred; 3-5 years’ experience with college students or young adults; demonstrated competency in areas noted in the Catholic Campus Ministry Association (CCMA Standards for Campus Ministers.

Parish Youth Minister

   Sacred Heart Parish, Pullman, WA 

 

Sacred Heart Parish, located in Pullman, WA, seeks an energetic, prayerful and passionate half-time Youth Minister.  This person will direct the youth ministry program for grades 7 – 12 with an emphasis on Catholic faith formation, Gospel living, religious education and spiritual maturity.  Responsibilities will include administering programs, coordinating and recruiting core groups of teens and adult volunteers, and leading our young adults towards becoming faith-filled practicing Catholics.  This person should be able to balance church-based teaching with social activities and communicate effectively with both teens and parents.  The candidate must be a practicing Catholic who is excited to share their faith; with a preference for a Bachelors Degree in ministry, theology or related field, and be a self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills. One to two years related experience required. Position starts August 15, 2014. Salary is in accordance with Diocesan guidelines.
