St. Edward’s Catholic School was established in September 1921 and staffed by the Sisters of Holy Cross from South Bend Indiana. St. Edward’s parish had just completed a new church and the school was housed in the 1st St. Edward church built in 1905. In 1947 the current St. Edward’s Catholic School building was completed. In the fall of 1971 St. Edward’s Catholic School was closed because the Sisters of the Holy Cross where called back to their order. The school was re-opened in the fall of 1985 under the leadership of Fr. Perry Dodds and some very dedicated and brave parents.
