Director of Catechesis

Following a review of Diocesan needs the Diocese of Boise has reopened the position of Director of Catechesis. The job description has been revised to include assisting parishes in their pastoral planning process. Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Pastoral Ministry, Theology, Religious Education or a related field.
The selected candidate will be an active, practicing Catholic and a person of high moral standards with a reputation for integrity, vision and imagination. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and at least five years of demonstrated successful leadership experience at either the parish or diocesan levels.

Coordinator of Adult & Family Catechesis (Office of Catechesis)
|

|
|
The coordinator of Adult and Family Catechesis supports the mission of the Diocese of Boise by assisting the Bishop in carrying out his role as the chief catechist of the diocese. The Coordinator works collaboratively with clergy, catechetical personnel and other diocesan staff to develop, strengthen and promote authentic and effective faith formation experiences for adults and families throughout the diocese. Specifically, the Coordinator provides consultation, support, leadership formation and resources to those engaged in adult and family catechesis.
Education & Experience: B.A. degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education or related field. M.A. degree preferred. Minimum five years’ experience at the diocesan or parish level, preferably in adult and family life ministry. Experience at the diocesan and/or parish level in developing and implementing adult catechesis, family ministry, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

The coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Catechesis supports the mission of the Diocese of Boise by assisting the Bishop in carrying out his role as the chief catechist of the diocese. The Coordinator works collaboratively with clergy, catechetical personnel, and other diocesan staff to develop, strengthen, and promote authentic and effective faith formation experiences for young adults and youth throughout the diocese. Specifically, the Coordinator provides consultation, support, leadership formation and Resources to those engaged in youth and young adult ministry.

Education & Experience: B.A. degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education or related field. M.A. degree preferred. Five years’ experience at the diocesan or parish level in leading and directing religious education programs for children and families. Experience on the diocesan or parish level in fundamentals of children’s catechesis and sacramental preparation.
