The Vision of the IT Department is to connect all elements of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise and provide superior information technology support as a key enabler for the people and processes supporting the greater Diocesan mission.
The Mission of the IT Department of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Idaho is to provide Information Technology and related services to Diocesan Departments and selected customers in an effective and cost efficient manner. We will connect the Diocese of Boise to the offices, schools, parishes and people of the Diocese in support of the Diocesan Mission in order to facilitate the mission of the Diocese and to support the greater Catholic Community of Idaho.
The IT Department provides services to both the central administrative employees of the diocese as well as to various schools, parishes and other ministries across the diocese. The latter obtain support via support agreements negotiated on a fee basis with the IT Department. The IT Department handles local and remote network design implementation and administration, centralized hardware and software procurement and implementation, and desktop support for end users. In addition, the IT Department hosts the diocesan, and various other school and parish web sites across the state in a secure server environment.
