1) How is Fall Conference planned?

This year Fall Conference is being offered at four separate sites. The Bishop, Office of Catechesis and other diocesan staff determine the focus of each Fall Conference. This year the theme is Vocations. This Fall Conference committee determines the overall format and general assembly speakers. The Fall Conference site committee, composed of at least one diocesan staff member and two chairpersons from each site recruits area volunteers to plan workshops, publicity, meals, etc., to fit the needs of each area; information from the Bishop’s Plan, previous conferences and evaluations inform their decisions. Parish staff and other volunteers also provide essential services.

2) Who is the conference for?
|
|
Begun as a catechetical conference over 20 years ago, Fall Conference, to directly support the Bishop's plan, offers something for all adult Catholics. Beneath every theme and keynote is the consistent intent to help participants better understand, live and pass on our faith. This year we're focusing on every persons' vocational calling. In recent years, we are heartened to see an increase in young adult participation. Though not a teen conference, high school students have begun to attend with their parents or youth ministry coordinator.

3) How firm are the deadlines?
|
|
The deadlines are firm. Deadlines allow staff time to place orders, print materials and prepare for the event.

5) Is the price the same for everyone whether you are attending one or both days?

All online or hard copy registrations must be entered or postmarked by Sept. 10th in order to receive the reduced "Early Bird" rate.
After Sept. 10th please register onsite during the conference. This will be at the regular registration rate.

8) How will sessions be presented?
|
|
Fall Conference will use a variety of formats: broadcast, in person, panels, hands on and discussions. All interactive in some way.

|
|
The schedule was planned to allow persons to return home. Some sites have secured housing. See your site's page. Links are above.
