Called to Evangelize in a Modern World

Fr. Ernesto Caro

Fr. Caro will speak about his own call to the priesthood and how he has lived it out and shared it with others.  He will share how even the most technologically-enept person can use modern tools in sharing the Word of God with others.

Before he was ordained to the priesthood in 1991, Fr. Ernesto Caro already had degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Masters of Business Administration.  After seminary he studied at the Gregorian in Rome as well as the University of Dayton.  He is the founder of several formation and evangelization programs including Evangelizacion Activa and Vivir en Cristo.

Understanding the Jewish culture and background of the Christian Gospels can unlock many words and works of Jesus.  “Come Follow Me” is much more than an invitation; unlocking its meaning will give us the confidence to follow him, even if we fall or fail.  Using his own journey, Thomas will explore some key ways to faithfully and fruitfully sharing our faith with others.

Thomas brings a wealth of experience and insight on the Word of God to audiences across the U.S.  Thomas has taught as an adjunct professor at the St. Francis School of Theology in Denver, served as Director of the Denver Catholic Biblical School and the Denver Catechetical School and is a cofounder the Philippine Catholic Biblical Mission Foundation.

En la vida, el hombre tienen que estar tomando continuamente decisiones y muchas de estas no son fáciles, desde lo que esta bien y mal, hasta con quien habré de compartir mi vida o que vocación habré de vivir.  Es por ello que un correcto discernimiento nos da los elementos para tomar las decisiones correctas para que nuestra vida sea plena y sobre todo para que podamos llegar a la meta, que es dios mismo.

Antes de ser ordenado al sacerdocio en 1991, el Padre Ernesto Caro ya tenía grados en Ingeniería Mecánica y Administración de Empresas. Después del seminario, estudió en la Gregoriana de Roma, así como la Universidad de Dayton. Él es el fundador de la formación de varios programas de evangelización incluyendo Evangelización Activa y Vivir en Cristo.

Lo mas importante es que la gente se dé cuenta de la importancia de la oración y de la escucha atenta de la Palabra de Dios. Que sepa que para todas nuestras decisiones, debemos consultar a Dios y no dejarnos ir solo por nuestros apetitos o nuestros pensamientos y criterios, los cuales generalmente están ya muy dañados por el trato cotidiano con el mundo.
