PEOPLE SERVING
God has smiled
upon the Church of Idaho by sending so many wonderful people to serve.
Laity
In a special
way, the laity are called to serve the church in ministries that are
exclusively their's -- ministry in the workplace, society, and culture,
including politics. As baptized Christians, the laity is called to live
a life following the teachings of Christ in the ordinary decisions and
functions of daily life. The vocations of married life and single life
are critical and recognized vocations in the Church.
The Church
of Idaho is blessed with the 'problem' that there are TOO MANY serving
the Church and the community to list here.
Men &
Women Religious (Sisters and Brothers)
We have among us, men and women who have vowed to live their Catholic Christianity in a special way, by joining Religious Communities as Nuns or Monks. As members of religious communities, and welcomed by the Bishop, these men and women live and work among us offering unique ministries of prayer, hermitage, retreat ministry, teaching, spiritual direction, parish leadership, scholarship, and others.
