My name is Jose Ramirez. I am the fifth child of a family of five. I came from Mexico to the state of Idaho at a very early age. My family has lived in Nampa, Idaho since that time. I grew up in the Nampa School District. For my elementary years I assisted Central School, move up to West Middle School, and graduated from Nampa High School with highest honors. I was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe. After the church was closed I transferred to St. Paul’s Catholic Church where I attended until I came to Bishop Treinen House. In both churches I was an Altar Server and a bible teacher. I have served Fr. Henry, Fr. Carlos, Fr. Puchinneli, Fr. Funke and Fr. Flores as an Altar Server. I am 18 years old and I am currently a seminarian for the Diocese of Boise.
When I first received the calling, I was only 11 years old. I went to a retreat where they were preaching about the love of God. I was touched and I wanted to feel the love of God in my life. I decided to serve the community so I could experience the love of God in my fellow brothers. For many years, I ponder about my vocation. There were a lot of temptations on the way, but my eyes were focused on God. I studied hard to achieve a level of excellence so that I could apply this knowledge to help my fellow brothers. I want to serve the people in love and with love.
My goal in this House of Discernment is to find whether this is what God wants me to do. So far, my expectations have been met. I am enjoying every single minute of my stay in this house. I am very grateful for the guys in the house, we are all developing friendships that will last for life. Although, there are many difficulties on the way, my love for God will never cease. I will keep my eyes fixed on him. He is the reason for my life. He is the reason of my being, I will love him with all my heart, and I will serve Him in my fellow brothers.
Mi nombre es Ramírez Jose. Soy el quinto niño de una familia de cinco. Vine de México(Méjico) al estado de Idaho en una muy temprana edad. Mi familia ha vivido en Nampa, Idaho desde entonces. Crecí en el Distrito escolar Nampa. Durante mis años elementales asistí a la Escuela Central, avance a la Escuela secundaria de West, y me gradué del Instituto de Nampa con los honores altos. Yo era un miembro de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Después de que la iglesia fue cerrada me translade a la Iglesia católica de San Pablo donde atendí hasta que yo vine al Casa del Obispo Treinen. En ambas iglesias yo era un Servidor de Altar y un profesor de Biblia. He servido al Padre Henry, Padre Carlos, Padre Puchinneli, Padre Funke y Padre Flores como un Servidor de Altar (monaguillo). Tengo 18 años y soy actualmente un seminarista para la Diócesis de Boise. Cuando primero recibí la llamada, yo tenía sólo 11 años. Fui a una reunion donde predicaban sobre el amor de Dios. Me tocaron y quise sentir el amor de Dios en mi vida. Decidí servir la comunidad para entonces yo podría experimentar el amor en mis hermanos cristianos. Durante muchos años, reflexione sobre mi vocación. Ha vido muchas tentaciones sobre el camino(manera), pero mis ojos estan enfocados en Dios. Estudié ardientemente para alcanzar un nivel de excelencia para que yo pudiera aplicar este conocimiento para ayudar a mis hermanos en Cristo. Quiero servir a la gente con amor. Mi objetivo en esta Casa de Discernimiento es de encontrar si esto es lo que Dios quiere que haga. Hasta ahora, mis expectativas han sido encontradas. Disfruto cada minuto de mi permanencia en esta casa. Estoy muy agradecido por los muchachos en la casa, todos hemos desarrollamos amistades que durarán por vida. Aunque, haya muchas dificultades sobre el camino mi amor por Dios nunca se cesará. Mantendré mis ojos fijos en el. Él es la razón de mi vida. Él es la razón de mi ser, lo amaré con todo mi corazón, y lo serviré en mis hermanos.
