Jr. High Rally - Mission Unstoppable
February 3rd youth in grades 6-8 can join Steve Angrisano --storyteller, musician, national and international presenter -- and other Catholics their own age from around the state to be a part of a reality game where they will travel and encounter challenges and obstacles to faith, leading into a more intentional living of their faith in their daily lives.
The mission's location and cost are still top secret, although we can release the information that it will be in the Treasure Valley. (Once the details have been worked out, that information will be leaked to this site.)
All registrations must be made through parish youth leaders.
Youth leaders may register their youth and chaperones online starting November 1st. For an informational Jr. High Rally 07 flyer or if you have questions, please contact Pat Thomas at (208) 342-1311 x111 or PThomas@rcdb.org.

Idaho Catholic Youth Convention
The Northern and North Central deaneries are hosting the 2007 Idaho Catholic Youth Convention in Moscow, March 9th & 10th. This event encourages youth in 9th-12th grades to make new friends, strengthen ties to their faith community, hear the Gospel message and be challenged to live their faith in new and unexpected ways.
Keynote presenters, Gene Monterastelli and Brad Farmer of APeX Ministries are a nationally known comedy duo based out of Baltimore, MD and near Denver, CO. They travel North America using a style they define as Christian Vaudeville. This includes death defying juggling, sketch comedy, and personal testimony. Over the last six years APeX has worked with youth and adults alike in over 40 states at the national, diocesan, and parish levels.
The ICYC Committee, headed by Brian Kraut (St. Pius X, Coeur d'Alene) and Debbie Chicane (St. Mary's, Cottonwood) are developing the theme "Claim It" and are planning the event.
Youth in 9th-12th grade are invited to submit artwork to be entered in the logo design contest and/or compose a theme song. Information has been sent to the youth ministers about both of these opportunities. You can email Pat Thomas to get a copy of the flyer at PThomas@RCDB.org.
If you have any questions, please contact Pat Thomas at (208) 342-1311 or PThomas@RCDB.org.
