Position: Coordinator of Youth Ministry (Grades 6-12)
Reports to: Parish Administrator, Director of Religious Education
Collaborates with: Director of Religious Education, Parish Administrator, Pastor, Parochial Vicar, Parish Staff
Status: Full time, Exempt, Full Benefits

Vision: Seeking a faith-filled, practicing Catholic with a deep desire to share a lived faith with young people, and encourage
them to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Will work with the Director of Religious Education (DRE) to implement the pastor’s vision for youth ministry.
Will work with the DRE to coordinate the Sacrament of Confirmation following Diocesan guidelines.
Will embrace and work in accordance with All Saints Core Values.
Will work with the DRE to coordinate weekly Religious Education classes for middle and high school youth programs which
utilize a variety of formats. Provide resources to catechists for effective programming.
Must be able to relate to middle and high school students, yet maintain professional code of conduct.
Will coordinate service opportunities for youth in the parish and local community.
Will organize opportunities for spiritual growth for youth (ex: Mass, retreats, adoration)
Will communicate effectively with parents through weekly emails and other means as needed.
Will collaborate with Environment and Liturgy Committees, as well as staff, regarding special liturgical or parish events in
which students might participate.
Attend weekly staff meetings and communicate to staff about youth ministry activities.
Ensure that all adult volunteers and youth follow Diocesan Safe Environment protocols.
Will successfully complete Safe Environment training, testing, and background check.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience working in a parish as an employee or volunteer desired.
Familiarity with Scripture. Supports and explains the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Skills and Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be well organized, able to plan long-range calendar of events, and meet deadlines.
Maintain regular presence in the office, and able to work outside of office hours as required.
Ability to work in a collaborative team effort with the entire parish staff.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to maintain records and confidentiality.
Proficient with basic computer skills: Word, some Excel, etc.

Must be an active participant in the Catholic Church, fully initiated, and able to partake in the full sacramental life of the
Church.
Demonstrates ease and compassion in dealing with people; excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates emotional stability, self-confidence, and maturity.
Awareness of being a role model to youth and representative of the Catholic Church.
Demonstrate excellent character, morality, integrity and faith.
Must be dependable and follow through on commitments. Team player.
