The Director collaboratively builds a vision for Catholic education in the Diocese, consistent with the Bishop's vision that “Catholic schools serve diverse populations, believe that education is an integral formation in wisdom and virtue, and cultivate a love for all that is true, good, and beautiful. Required Qualifications:

· Strong pastoral commitment, active loyalty and close working relationship with the Bishop and Vicars

· Strong working knowledge of Catholic catechesis

· Strong working knowledge of common educational models, interventions, curriculum, and systems

· Hands-on leadership skills in an educational setting

· Ability to effectively communicate and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders

· Professional experience working in a school setting

· Discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information

· Ability to assess school financial stability and sustainability

· Strong administrative skills

· Knowledge of Vatican II and the pastoral, catechetical, evangelical, and Catholic educational thrusts of the Church

· Knowledge of Church governance

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Exercise a high degree of integrity and good judgment

· Initiative and ability to work independently

· Exercise discretion under broad administrative direction and in concert with the Bishop's pastoral direction

· Master’s degree in Education

· Five years of supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in Catholic education

· Experience as a principal

· Active, practicing Catholic

 

Salary & Benefits:

$100,000 - $125,000; offered salary is based on diocesan-wide pay for certain positions, internal equity, market data, applicant’s skills and relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
