In the fall of 2021, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops called on the Church in the United States to engage in a three-year process of Eucharistic Renewal, largely in response to a growing awareness that many Catholics are not well catechized in the meaning of the Eucharist and the proper disposition for receiving the Eucharist.
The theme of the Diocese of Boise’s ongoing Eucharistic Renewal is “Remain In Me.” We continue with our first year of this initiative, as Bishop Peter Christensen has asked Catholics in Idaho to spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, in Adoration and discernment.
Office of Worship Director Tish Thornton said priests and parishes may contact the Office of Worship at the Diocese of Boise if they need guidelines for Exposition, led either by a lay minister or by clergy. They can contact Thornton at tthornton@rcdb.org or by calling 208-342-1311.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is sponsoring a free virtual conference. You can register at: Eucharistic Revival Conference, September 22-24
