Sister Teresa Jackson, OSB
COTTONWOOD – Sister Teresa Jackson, OSB, has been named interim administrator of the Center for Benedictine Life at the Monastery of St. Gertrude.
Federation of St. Gertrude president Sister Jeanne Weber, OSB, and the Federation Council made the appointment on May 19. Sister Teresa was installed during a special liturgy on May 27, with Sister Weber presiding via Zoom.
Sister Teresa will serve as administrator until the election of the next Prioress in mid-November, 2023. The former Prioress, Sister Mary Forman, passed away on April 20.
Along with Sister Teresa, Sister Janet Barnard, OSB, will serve as Sub-prioress. Sister Elisa Martinez, OSB, will serve as Senpectae-at-Large (Wise Elder), and Sister Rose Marie Nutsch, OSB, will continue as house coordinator.
The election of monastic council members will take place in early June.
