The in-person portion of the Catholic Educators’ Conference scheduled for Oct. 1-2 at Bishop Kelly High School has been canceled, but there will be a virtual version of some of the conference sessions streamed online to all those who have registered.
Also canceled is the Mass that was scheduled to launch the conference on Thursday evening, Sept. 30, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
The in-person event is canceled due to increasing COVID-related concerns.
Registrants will be emailed information in the next few days about the schedule for the online conference, said Sarah Quilici, superintendent of Idaho Catholic Schools.
The conference hotel, the Hyatt Place Boise Town Square, has a cancellation policy in place through this week. Those who encounter difficulties in getting hotel or travel arrangements canceled can contact Quilici at squilici@rcdb.org.
Refunds for the portion of the registration fee intended for the in-person event will be sent to registrants next month.
